Sample Weight: 1.5 g

Summary

The sample is digested by using a mixture of sulfuric, hydrofluoric and hydrochloric acids. The solution is titrated with a standardized solution of potassium dichromate to determine Fe2+ using a sodium diphenylanime sulphonate indicator.

The reporting limit range for FeO is 0.05% to 50%.

Analytical Performance

Data will be deemed acceptable if recovery of FeO is ±15% at five times the Lower Limit of Determination (LOD) and the calculated Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) of duplicate samples is no greater than 15%.
