The objectives of this project task are: To assess the potential future availability of rare earth elements (REE), assuming continued reductions in Chinese exports, the Geological Survey of Japan and the U.S. Geological Survey will cooperatively investigate the geologic, economic, and development potential of the principal REE deposits outside of China.
